Assalamu Alaikum I'm Ahmed, a certified teacher of Qur'an and Islamic Studies from an Academy. While studying Engineering, I discovered a deep love for teaching. For me, teaching the Qur'an isn’t just work—it’s a way of giving back, like a form of zakah, by sharing the depth of Islamic knowledge and the wisdom of the Qur'an with others. I specialize in Tajweed, and I focus on teaching people aged 9 and above. While I prioritize teaching young people, I do not teach adult women, staying committed to my personal and religious values. What I teach ✅ Learning the Arabic for Qur'an Recitation: For beginners who are just starting their journey, I teach the Arabic letters and their correct pronunciation to help students begin reading the Qur'an. ✅ Qur'an Reading and Recitation with Tajweed: My teaching covers all levels, from basic to advanced fluency in Qur'an recitation. I ensure that every student masters reading the Qur'an accurately, focusing on Tajweed rules for proper pronunciation and flow. ✅ Improving Recitation and Memorization Skills: I help students refine their recitation and strengthen their memorization of Surahs, ensuring they recite with confidence and beauty. ✅ Exploring Qur'an, Tafsir, and Reflection: Beyond recitation, I guide students in understanding the Qur'an's meanings by introducing them to Qur'an Arabic vocabulary and Tafsir (exegesis). Together, we reflect on the wisdom and teachings of the Qur'an, applying them to daily life. ✅ Islamic Studies for Beginner Muslims: I provide comprehensive lessons covering the essential knowledge every Muslim should have based on their age and current level of understanding. My aim is to ensure that each student gains a solid foundation in Islam, tailored to their individual needs and abilities. How I Teach Each lesson is tailored to your goals and abilities, ensuring you achieve what you set out to learn, whether it's improving Tajweed or understanding the Qur'an's deeper meanings. I take the time to assess each student's unique needs and adapt my teaching methods accordingly, so no one feels left behind. I utilize a wide range of resources, carefully selecting and combining them to create personalized lessons tailored to your unique needs and level. Here is my used curriculum. Stage One: Mastery of Letters and Short Vowel Sounds Mastering letters with short vowels: This includes letters with fatḥah, kasrah, ḍammah, and shaddah. This stage differs from learning Arabic as a language—we focus here on articulation, phonetic characteristics of each letter, mouth positioning, and proper pronunciation. Practice from the Qur’an (Last Juzʾ): Start with Juzʾ ʿAmma, repeating the recitation frequently to solidify pronunciation and vowel accuracy. --- Stage Two: Mastery of Consonants Practice with non-vowel letters (sukūn): Qalqalah letters (qāf, ṭāʾ, bāʾ, jīm, dāl). Hams letters (fāʾ, ḥāʾ, thāʾ, hāʾ, shīn, khā, Sād, sīn, kāf, tāʾ). Additional practical notes on the articulation of other consonants. --- Stage Three: Understanding Types of Elongation (Madd) Learning elongations: Madd due to hamzah: such as madd muṭṭasil (connected) and madd munfaṣil (separated). Madd due to sukūn: such as madd ʿāriḍ li-s-sukūn (temporary), and madd lāzim (necessary). Also includes madd ṣilah (minor and major). Reading practice from the Qur’an: Apply these rules during recitation for improved mastery. --- Stage Four: Applied Rules Rules of Nūn Sākinah and Tanwīn: Iẓhār, Idghām, Iqlāb, and Ikhfāʾ. Rules of Mīm Sākinah: Idghām Shafawī, Iẓhār Shafawī, and Ikhfāʾ Shafawī. Continual reading practice: Reinforce understanding and application through frequent recitation. --- Stage Five: Advanced Rules and Deepening Completing all types of madd: Including madd badal, madd farq, and others with less common occurrences. Inter-letter relationships: Study of mutamāthilayn (identical), mutajānisayn (similar), mutaqāribayn (close), and mutabāʿidayn (distant) through examples from the Qur’an.
