Ustadh Muddassir Kolia | Qur’an & Tajweed Teacher | Teacher Assessor Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, My name is Muddassir Kolia, and I am a passionate Qur’an and Tajweed teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching students of all ages across the UK, Europe, and Asia. I have taught and been trained under some of the most respected Islamic institutions in London all recognized for their excellence in Qur’anic education. I pursued my advanced Islamic studies at the renowned Jaamia Islamia, Azaadville (South Africa), where I specialized in Qirā’ah, and also studied at Dewsbury Darul Uloom. Alhamdulillah, I was blessed to learn under Sheikh Ahmed Al-Mursi from Egypt, as well as other distinguished scholars from the UK and South Africa. My teaching journey has taken me around the world, giving me the privilege of teaching diverse students and communities. No matter the setting, my approach remains the same: sincere, tailored, and rooted in excellence. My teaching style is friendly and easy-going, built on mutual communication and trust. I create a space where students can comfortably express themselves. A typical lesson starts with the student reciting — I then diagnose precisely what needs work and highlight what has already been mastered. Like a Qur’an doctor, I help students move forward with clarity and confidence. I focus on building strong foundations — because once your foundation is solid, you can build your own Rome. I empower my students not just to recite well, but to become independent, confident learners who can continue improving on their own.
